| - During Restaurant Week, my husband and I always try and come here because it's an amazing deal. Most of the experience was great, with just a few minor glitches. To start, our reservations were for 8pm. When I walked in the door at 8pm, there was a line at the host stand about 4 deep. By the time it was my turn, minutes had past, and the hostess informed me that because I was late, I would have to wait for my table. It was their policy during Restaurant Week to give over your table to someone else if you were not there exactly on or before your reservation time. Ummm OK so the reason I was late was of no fault to my own and now my reserved table was gone? So big hint for Restaurant Week: go early!
We waited at the upstairs bar/lounge where I had my favorite Chima cocktail, the caipirinha. Delicious as always! After about a 30 minute wait, we were directed to our table. Our waitress was OK; she didn't bring warm plates for our meats (I would assume they would have brought a clean, warm plate for our meats aside from the salad plate), and my husband had to ask twice for his drink. The salad bar was well stocked and everything was fresh. The meats that came around were delicious, although by the time most of them got to our table, they were room temperature. My favorites being the parmesan crusted pork tenderloin and the bacon-wrapped chicken. We didn't have any dessert as we were both stuffed, and this was after only eating off of the Restaurant Week menu (not the full menu).
Overall, it was a great dinner, with just minor glitches, that didn't break the evening by any means. We love Chima and will be back for sure!
