  • The best way to describe CSA short and sweet? NO PRESSURE! I've been to all the different shops/ranges in the area, and in the Charlotte area you have a lot of choices. Carolina Sporting Arms has something for every gun aficionado! When you walk in you're greeted right at the front door, friendly staff will point you in the right direction whether you're heading to the range or bringing a firearm in for gunsmith work. Everyone here works as one well-trained unit to ensure their customers are satisfied. The shop is well laid out with arms lining the perimeter, antique and estate guns occupying the corner with knowledgeable staff on hand to show you anything you'd like. If you're a re-loader, they have a wide variety of re-loading supplies. Heck, they even have a top-of-the-line Dillon multi-stage press in-stock and ready for purchase. They also have a wide variety of accessories like range bags and attire. The the big draw to CSA is the Range. The range is state of the art with independently rated filtration systems and double-wide lanes to offer side-by-side instruction. Whether you are a seasoned range guy/gal or a newbie, you need not fret. Training, knowledge, and patience are some of their specialities. They are always running specials for first time shooters where you get access to rentals, a target, an all-day range pass, and time with an instructor all for one flat rate (note: you will have to purchase ammo as well)! Speaking of rentals, their rental case is extremely well stocked. They have all the crowd favorites like Glock, S&W, Ruger, FN, H&K, and Beretta, as well as some not so known models. They even have a Desert Eagle .50CAL you can rent with 2 rounds for $5.00 (may sound like a lot, but if you've never fired one and don't fire heavy rounds like .44 colt then 2 rounds is probably going to be all you're going to want to fire)! So please if you're a gun guru looking for a new home-range in the CLT area, or if you're a new shooter looking for a responsible establishment to start you new obsession, give my friends at Carolina Sporting Arms a visit, you're sure to leave happy!
