I'm shocked that this was my first trip to Spoon as I lived in the area for many years and it has always been on my list. I was really disappointed after coming here this weekend with my brunch club. Other than our group of 6, there was only one other table seated, and a couple people at the bar. It was almost like we had rented the space for a private party.
There is a limited, yet nice, variety of breakfast options. I chose the confit chicken burrito. Initially it was to come with a fried egg on top but the chef was doing a scramble mix. It was just "ok". Not bad, but nothing to write home about. It was served with a side of mixed greens, which were barely dressed. And by side, I mean about a half cup.
The service was ok, although we did have to wait for coffee refills a few times. The waitress was very personable though and answered everyone's questions.
My friend had the "Sloppy Dan" which was a sausage slider. That looked really good, served with a side of fries. She confirmed that it was tasty.
I need to come back and try dinner, which I've heard is quite good.
