| - I would give this dealership zero stars if I could, but Cetric is a great salesmen and this complaint isn't about him.
After deciding on a Jeep and closing the deal, I mentioned that I would be in the next morning at 10am to pick up the car. After an hour with them, the car was 'ready' for me. When I looked at the car, it was no where near ready. The car was completely filthy, pieces were missing from the air vent and the rubber piece in the truck was ripped. Not detailed inside or outside. I addressed these issues to Cetric, he was completely embarrassed and attempted to clean the car with a rag they was completely dirty by the time he was done. With the amount of filth it wouldn't have done any justice.
The fact that I feel as a woman being taken advantage of and mistreated is outrageous. I shouldn't feel that I can't come in and purchase a car and get treated any different than a man who would. The car wasn't ready is one thing, the actions that followed were another and the deep down feeling is irreplaceable.
I approached the used sales manager after to let him know what happened and how I was unhappy with my experience. He says sarcastically an 'apology' and asks 'What do you want me to do?' (Well, this is now the second time asking me what he can do for me) I respond and his answer was pretty much laughed. Don't ask me what you can do and then laugh and tell me that isn't possible. Again, prime example of sexism and the feeling of being taken advantage of.
As a manager who should mirror the proper way of servicing your customers, you should feel responsible and genuinely apologetic. You shouldn't ask me how to resolve the issue if you are going to respond twice, "I'm not going to open my wallet". Instead provide something substantial and honest, not ask me what I want and then not deliver along with a laugh and slap in the face.
He told me he wouldn't open his wallet anymore and could sell the car in the auction for a better price. That is not a way a 'manager' should speak to any customer.
As a women and it being 2015, I shouldn't feel uncomfortable going into a dealership alone, afraid that I will be mistreated, taken advantage of or ripped off. When I returned home with the car, I relayed the experience to my family remembers, who were shocked that I didn't leave the car at the dealership after the way they treated me.
The next day I called the dealership and spoke with another manager, explaining the situation. He was apologetic and said he would speak with his manager and call me back at how to resolve the issue. He called back to tell me he was sorry and there was nothing else they would offer me and if I were dissatisfied, I could return the car. Isn't the point of a dealership to sell cars, not return them? He even compared the dealership to Walmart in the sense that if you were unhappy with a service there, they would offer you something for free. That's a red flag.
Honestly I am disgusted and feel completely ripped off and taken advantage of. This is not only poor management and customer service, this is sexism.
