  • This review is not for the staff nor the technicians, they were all very kind and helpful. This rating is for Ms. Kathy Hurt at the Phoenix/Scottsdale location. The conduct of this woman is utterly appalling. I went in to receive treatment for alopecia, which is a very sensitive topic for a 27-year-old woman. She handed out a diagnosis of scarring alopecia, which means your hair will never grow back. She made this judgement with ZERO facts, and a "you're f***ed" attitude. She also had the gall to tell me that "it could be worse" as if my emotional response was unwarranted for such shocking news. I almost didn't get the biopsy because of her defeatist attitude, I just let it happen. A week later I received a call from the technician that was in the room during my initial evaluation-- she told me that the results of my biopsy indicated that my alopecia is caused from a hormonal imbalance, NOT from scarring alopecia. In summary, Kathy Hurt lives up to her namesake, and should stick to the less perplexing ailments of the dermis. She is the kind of doctor that causes hair to fall out due to irrational emotional distress.
