Quick overview: great service (5/5) and slightly above average food (3.5/5). Added bonus: they offer lettuce in lieu of tortillas for those watching carbs!
We came here on a Saturday around lunch time. There was a wait for seating, with a few customers ahead of us. So we opted for a table at the bar where we were promptly seated.
The server quickly came to take our drink order, which consisted of a water and a small house margarita on the rocks. The margarita came out quickly. Overall, the service throughout our meal was swift & friendly.
Complimentary chips with 2 types of salsa (red and green) and beans quickly followed. I enjoyed the red salsa. They also serve complimentary grilled jalapeƱos and onions. Awesome! They were a bit salty, but I like it nonetheless.
We ordered the chile Colorado and the flaming chicken fajitas. Both came with sope de fideo soup (noodle soup). The noodles were thick like spaghetti and there were small bits of tomato. It was okay - not my favorite version of the soup.
The chile Colorado was okay, nothing outstanding. The flaming chicken fajitas were set aflame table side-this is what sets this Mexican restaurant apart from its fellow competitors. When I order fajitas I like 2 things 1) flavor to the meat and 2) a selection of veggies. Most fajitas have bland meat, requiring me to lime down my fajitas. These fajitas weren't bland, which I was happy about. They came with red & green peppers and onions. Not overly zealous on the veggies, but I like when I get red bell peppers so yay! for this. The fajita menu also offers lettuce wraps in lieu of tortillas.
