  • Attended the Halloween at HP. Disappointed to see parents taking their young children in the haunted house (scary rating showed it to be the scariest activity). We decided my husband would check it out. We are educated people (in education too) and did not feel it was appropriate for any child under 6 (or maybe even older). I was shaking my head seeing all these babies, toddlers and preschoolers going in. It is not about bubble wrapping children and more about considering what is age appropriate. We also don't let our child watch tv & movies because of the health and behavioural implications. Not a snob - just wish people would think through things like this and how this impacts their child, society,.. (please do not let your children watch the tv news! Our doctor told us this, however we knew this). Disappointed in HP too. I hope they re-think the haunted house. It is not like pre-teens or teens are the intended audience. That said, I was actually surprised to have teenagers waiting behind us to get into the park. Are you surprised your baby/toddler/child doesn't sleep or has behavioural issues. I'm not. Definately not appropriate (the Haunted House) for young children. The cons: inappropriate content for intended audience, no maps of where activities were located, line-ups, Value ($30 for 2 adults & 1 tot) The positives: the little corn maze, tea party with Alice & Wonderland The activities looked fun although line was very long (we never got in to do the craft or the games)
