My how things change in 4 years. I wrote a review in 2012 that is the exact opposite of my experience there yesterday. I went midday after a stop at the Perch so I could compare the two places. At the Perch, the bartender greeted me sincerely and was very cordial. I asked about a IPA style and the next thing I knew , I had a flight of tasters for all the IPA's they brew.
I ordered chicken wings and although they were good, I have had better. However, the customer service was excellent.
I walked across the dirt parking and found myself a spot at the bar at SanTan. After what seemed like an overtly long time the bartender came over and with a dull expression asked what I wanted. I ordered, and only after she delivered my IPA did she care to ask me my name for the tab. I have been coming to San Tan ever since their soft opening when they only had 7 items on the menu. In this short time they have gone from my very favorite microbrewery to my least favorite and here's why: 1. the customer service is in serious decline. 2. The "updating" of the brand. There was nothing wrong with the original style and logos. 3. The beer quality has begun to suffer with their success. With so many options for microbrewerys these days you won't find me spending time in place like SanTan.
