  • I got a Groupon for an unlimited week of services at Planet Beach and it was definitely cool, but not somewhere I will continue to go. They offer a list of automated services which I imagine helps it to be more cost efficient, but not really worth the trade off of the real thing for me. I had an LED facial and I really didn't notice any difference at all. I also did the aqua massage and I didn't like it at all. It was basically a bed that has high pressure water that moves up and down the length of your body. It is loud so I wasn't really able to listen to music and couldn't relax, so I didn't enjoy it at all. The cool services that I did use were the hydration station (I think it was called) and it was a very unique experience. It's basically a giant pod that you lay in (clothes removed) and it acts as a sauna for your body, just your head popped out. It was a bit crazy because it gets up to 118 degrees! But when I got out, I felt like I lost a few pounds and my skin felt great. Well, I was blotchy from the heat for a bit and THEN my skin felt great. I also used the tanning bed, both lay down and stand up and what I really liked is that their tanning packages allow you to choose whatever level bed you want instead of paying a much higher price to use a higher level bed. I also did the mystic tan (my first one ever) and it turned out really good. The gal that showed me how to use it gave me some pointers on how to get the best results and she knew what she was talking about for sure. I got tons of compliments on how well it turned out and it lasted for about 10 days which was way longer than I expected. One of the really nice things about this place was the incredibly friendly staff. Everyone that worked there was really familiar with each of the services and very willing to answer any questions. A few things to note, they require a consultation before you can use the services, so be sure to schedule that and don't just expect to go in and start right away. After that, you just make appointments to go in. Also, some of the services require additional product purchase (tanning and LED facial) and some just recommend, but you may want to plan to spend a bit extra on those things. Overall, I think this is a really great and cost efficient place for a busy person, it's just not my thing.
