  • Romantic setting, exceptional steaks that are expertly prepared, and generally great service! You would never expect a steakhouse of this caliber to be hidden in the Luxor, but yet it is. It's worth the trek through the dated casino to experience a meal that will leave you yearning to return! We've dined at Tender five or six times now. We found it due to the MyVegas rewards program and while we no longer use their rewards, we still stop at Tender each time we're in Vegas. It's that good. Over the years, we've had the creamed exotic mushroom soup ($12) (delicious but very rich), Maine lobster bisque ($15) (also delicious but very rich), Charcuterie board ($16) (good with a variety of cured meats, cheeses and mustards, etc.), Yukon mashed potatoes ($9) (very good), fried potato wedges ($11) (a tad greasy), the filet tasting trio (1-New Zealand organic, grass fed; 2-Black Angus grain fed; 3-Wagyu), the Snake River Wagyu sirloin and also the Wagyu filet. We've tried a lot on their menu! But, now we always have the Wagyu filet. It is, hands down, the best steak either of us has eaten! Period. No debate. It's very reasonably priced at $115 for 8 ounces and it needs no garnish or sauce; it stands alone. It's so good, on our last trip, we ate at Tender two nights in a row and had the Wagyu filet both nights. Folks, this is the kind of steak that is so tender is almost loses its shape! It literally starts to spread on the plate since the marbling of the fat is like spider webbing. You can cut it with a fork and that's no joke. I can't stress enough that if you're a steak lover, you have to try this at least once. Although, consider yourself warned...you WILL be hooked! (Note: They have a Wagyu Ribeye, 10oz for $135) As for the service at Tender, we've had Tom as our server for all but two of our visits. He's extremely knowledgeable, efficient and a super nice person. He's great with the wine pairings and always has a smile on his face. If I were rating Tender on the steak and Tom, it would be five stars! But since our service wasn't as good the two times we didn't have Tom and due to a mix-up with our reservation on one visit (and how that was handled), I have to give it four. We will go back again...but we will make sure Tom is working that night.
