  • Hey this place has more Japanese items here than the tiny little Japanese "markets" in various locations throughout the valley. I was looking for takoyaki flour and could not find it at any of the Japanese places, and no luck at the Chinese or Korean ones either. So happy to find it here! Also they have frozen baby octopus NOT from China. You know how long I've been looking for some?!(PS octopus don't come cleaned, you have to clean them yourself.) Approx $6 for a two pound bag. And a package of baby calamari for $3! Wow! They even have live lobster and shellfish. Too bad I don't go to this area often. They have Asian and Middle Eastern stuff under one roof. How convenient! As for the membership, if you don't plan on shopping here regularly, you don't have to spring for the card. Our total was a little over $20 and our savings if we had gotten the card would only be less than $0.20. We'd have to shop there a lot to get back the $10 membership. But if you do shop there a lot, by all means get it! They don't charge you a $1 fee is you aren't a member like some places (Marukai comes to mind). If I'm in the area or need more baby octopus, I'll be back for sure!
