| - So, my husband and I decided to try Eldorado out tonight and it was...interesting.
We ordered the Street taco appetizer, Seafood Enchiladas, the Big Texan, a raspberry Margarita, diet pepsi, and a ginger beer.
The Enchiladas were fantastic. It was basically crab dip, rolled in a tortilla and fried.
The street tacos were good.
HOWEVER, the BBQ was terrible. Just, not good. It came with a "cornbread" style pancake, shredded red cabbage disguised as slaw, sliced pickles, raw sliced onions, beans, and chipotle potato salad. Overall, the sides were quite bland and underwhelming. The ribs were dry, had very little "peach bbq sauce," and they tasted kind of weird. I'm not sure if this pork was old or what, but I've had a lot of BBQ in my life as a Southerner and there was something wrong with that pork. The brisket was okay, but certainly not something I would come back for. The pulled pork was mediocre and also a bit dry.
The drinks were pretty good, from what I could tell. I enjoyed mine and it seemed like everyone had a Margarita, so they must be doing something right.
Our waiter, Mikayla (I don't know if that's how you spell it) was very pleasant and apologized a few times when our food was so late, which we appreciated, even though it seemed like an unusually long time before our entrees arrived.
In summary, drinks, service and enchiladas- good. BBQ-very, very bad.
I would advise management to scrap the BBQ and focus on the Tex-Mex side.
