  • It may not be very good for my waistline, but I love looking around for these little local donut shops. They keep popping up in and around Charlotte and its wonderful. Downtown's treats are the cakey variety of donut, and they make them up fresh once you order. Tried a regular glazed w/ sprinkles, as well as the cinnamon sugar churro donut and it was smiles all around. Are they the best donuts in around? No. Probably a solid 3rd or 4th on my personal list though, and much better than what you can grab from the case at the gas station. With the Cabarrus Creamery just down the street downtown Concord is really shaping up to be a sweet spot for sweet treats!
