  • Based on the description from friends who love this place I was sure I wouldn't. Menu on the chalkboard, order at the counter, seat yourself. Very basic service and seating. I guess I'm a snob. Luckily I'm open minded (most of the time) . Ordered a meatloaf sandwich and soup and started noticing how well the owners were engaging the customers, making suggestions, being very welcoming without being fake or overbearing. While waiting for the food and while eating it became apparent that there is a lot of return business here. Camaraderie between everyone in front of and behind the counter. The food was excellent, comforting, great portions for the price. They had many vegetarian choices, about a half dozen different quiche, 3 or 4 soup choices, quite a few sandwich selections. Everything that was carried by the table looked great, the smoothies looked awesome. Everything made from scratch, the kitchen is visible for everyone to see.
