  • This is hands down one of the best 'bang for you buck' tours you can take. As others have mentioned yes it is a long day, but that's to be expected when you're going out to the Grand Canyon and back in one day (take the helicopter tour if you want to be as quick as possible). Going in a van is much nicer than going in a huge bus in my opinion (much quieter inside, quicker bathroom stops, more room to stretch out, faster driving on the highway...). We had Tracey as our tour guide and she was fabulous - she had tons of energy and was very informative about the history of all the places we went to. Every bit of the day was planned, from breakfast to snacks and all the breaks. The tour is broken up so you're stopping about every hour on the drive out: yes not every place is wildly exciting but it is nice to have bathroom breaks and be able to stretch your legs. On the way back (I did the sunset tour so we left the grand canyon around 7/7:30pm) since it was dark and later we did a much longer stretch and only stopped once for a bathroom/snacks break. Food: as others have mentioned it's not the most incredible food in the world but it's really not bad at all. They do provide breakfast at McDonalds where you can order anything off the menu and then you don't eat again until a late lunch/early dinner around 4pm. But during that time we had water and grapes in the van and several stops where we could purchase additional food if we wanted it (also I feel it's important to note that on their website they lay out a schedule and clearly state that they will provide breakfast and a late lunch, so no one should be surprised that there was a gap in the eating schedule). There was a bag of cookies passed around on the drive home, so at no point in the day did I feel like I was starving or didn't have access to extra/different food if I wanted it. Tracey knew all the best places to take pictures and was great at checking in and making sure everyone was comfortable with the pace and place we were at all times. She was also such a trooper about taking pictures for all of us and explaining the best places to explore during each of the stops. Overall I really felt like this company took care of their costumers and thought of so many little details to make the day enjoyable. I was completely exhausted by the time I was dropped back off at my hotel (love that pick up and drop off from our hotel service!) but it was well worth it to have had the experiences I did. If you're looking for an affordable option to see the Grand Canyon where all the details are taken care of for you I would definitely recommend checking them out!
