Sinatra re-modeled in 2013, and I didn't get to try it last time I was here in Vegas, which I'm in Vegas so frequent, but it's impossible to try all the restaurants at 1 trip. 7 days in Vegas for CES 2014 did it for me.
Sinatra is a beautiful restaurant, dedicated to Frank Sinatra as the name said it. The music was nice, the place is elegant, classic, and intimate.
We had our team dinner here, 12 of us, everyone was hungry and we ordered just about everything on the menu.
- Caprese mozzarella di bufala, heirloom tomatoes, red onion, basil - classic and good.
- Prosciutto - Parma prosciutto, caramelized Bartlett pears, Parmigiana Reggiano - nice presentation.
- Polpettine housemade meatballs, polenta fries - this was good.
- Insalatina dell' Imperatore n"Caesar Salad" anchovy, Parmesan crisp - such a smal portion, and I don't even like big portion, but this was meh.
- Lasagna Bolognese - fresh pasta layered with veal, pork and beef ragĂș - this was tasty.
- Risotto with lobster - this was quite nice and perfectly creamy.
- Veal Parmigiana thinly pounded veal chop, melted mozzarella, pomodoro sauce - this was an impressive side, gigantic, but it wasn't that tasty as I was hoping for.
- The Rib Eye - we ordered medium rare, it was medium. The second order came out was over cooked again, disappointed.
The wine list was dominantly Italian, very reasonable, good selection of Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco, and Super Tuscan. Our sommelier did an amazing job to get us our wines the Nebbiolo and Barbaresco.
Our server was so busy with other table that we had to flag him down a few times. I understand that it was CES 2014, but still as a caliber of this restaurant, we expect a higher par.
