  • HOW AMAZING!! For years I've been meaning to come check out the preserve, and I am sure glad I finally did! This is a seriously hidden gem and I can't believe it's here, in the middle of the desert! Best of all - parking and entry are FREE!! I am not really a bird watcher, and if you're like me, this is just a great area to go walk (or run). There are trails surround a few ponds and lots of space. A couple of important tips: stay on the trails - don't go to the water's edge or mess with the birds. Also DO NOT feed the birds - this could mess up the migration habits. I'm seriously in awe of this place and can't wait to go back!
