I just completed my second float experience and it was great. The first time I went I was given an introduction and tour of the facility by Brent and he also explained a little bit about floating and how to get the most out of the experience. Because of that I was able to relax and get into the proper mind state to enjoy it, which is crucial.
So yesterday I didn't need a tour or any orientation, even though they did offer to give me a refresher. They led me to my room and I spent the next 60min relaxing in dark bliss.
The pros: Staff is amazing. Everyone has been very pleasant and easy to talk with over the phone and in person. The tanks are sturdy and completely isolated. I've never had any light leakage into the tank, so you will be in 100% darkness.
The cons: The only one I can think of is that the facility isn't ultra-glamorous. Some people can be pretty judgmental about how a spa should "look". You won't find gorgeous wood-accents, a fancy juice-bar or luxurious carpeting throughout. There is a small relaxation area where you can unwind after your float but not much else that someone would consider "spa amenities". I've seen other float tanks that are sleek and sexy and the tanks at Float Sanctuary are more practical and look plain.
Honestly who cares? Get over yourself and enjoy this place! The things that matter (staff, quality of experience) are great and that's the important thing.
And the price is great. There is usually a groupon available and they always seem to be running seasonal promos.
