| - So my husband and I work out at Planet fitness 4 days a week and decided to give this location a try. We scan in and the receptionist tells us we have a (inset some weird abbreviation). Confused I ask her what it is, and she says we are delinquent on some other account.
Being that we have never signed any other contract besides the one we use all the time, I knew this had to be a mistake so I asked her to clarify. She said we were delinquent $60 on a membership at metro. We explain, what we hoped she could see on her screen, that we have this account that we have been paying every month for years. Why would we have another random account? And I also ask, if this is some long term delinquent account, why has our other gym never brought this up? Her response was that they maybe never really looked when we checked in.. great more inconsistencies.Either way, this was something we need cleared up, so I ask her if we could just have a manager call us, and save us the inconvenience... no harm no foul. She says "nope, you have to go in to that branch and take care of it".. one internal eye roll later we say ok, and ask since it's 10pm can we just work out and we will take care of it tomorrow. She tells us no, and turns us away.
This was such an inconvenience and poor customer service. You can easily see from our account that we are consistent and payments every month are successful, and whatever this other account is, is a misunderstanding.. and why could this other gym let us in without even bringing it up, but she can't let us work out this one time... just super annoying, inconvenient, and strange.. guess we will stick to our usual spot.
