I was referred here by a friend because I was looking for a new doc to address my shoulder issues. My original doc was leaning towards surgery, but then moved out of state. I wanted to seek out a provider to see if surgery was necessary. Dr. Sellers is not a surgeon, but he has been doing his thing for a long time and I heard multiple positive things about his practice.
My first visit was just to establish care, we reviewed my previous treatment and imaging. He reviewed my MRI and MRA and suggested we proceed with an Ultrasound and possible injection. I scheduled a follow up two weeks out, and left the office with a folder to give me info on the practice, a new pen and a chap stick- everything of course had the logo info.
I was able to get in a week earlier and was so surprised at what the ultrasound showed versus an MRI and MRA of my shoulder. We then went ahead with the injection and discussed physical therapy and a treatment plan that would hopefully avoid surgery.
I have been going to physical therapy for about five weeks now. The PT crew is amazing, and they teach me so many new skills. They also wrap my shoulder in kinesiology tape about once a week. They explain things to me in a manner I can understand.
I told them my shoulder had been feeling good, but I was dealing with back/hip pain. They took me to a picture on the wall and explained my lat muscle could the affecting my hip, so at the end of the session we did some manipulation. I have to say it helped, it is so surprising to learn how the muscles work together!
