| - This is my third time at the Mandalay Bay. Of all the casinos, I find it the most balanced between: food offerings, poker, quality sports book, pool, PRICE, crowd and overall vibe.
The Poker Room is smaller and not considered one of the elite places to play. Yet, it's one of my favorites in town. They have two $65 daily tourneys, and less wannabe Poker Star Millennials (hoodies and sunglasses.)
I've stayed at almost every major casino including those located off-Strip, the Mandalay Bay is best overall, but not tops in too many particular features.
During my most recent stay they upgraded me to the Four Seasons. I was a bit disappointed that there was no soaking tub. However, there is no bed like a Four Seasons bed!
Situated on the South end near the airport is a huge plus.
My room was on the 35th Floor in the section above where the shooter was perched. He was on the 32nd Floor (now renumbered as the "57th" floor.) Creepy and sad.
