| - While it takes a minute to get used to the minimalist service approach at Ncounter (order at the bar, seat yourself, get your own water, etc), the food and pricing easily make up for it. Had an extremely decent Eggs Benedict (sauce was good, egg was appropriately runny, ingredients were fresh), with a side of bacon and fried potatoes. They made them crispy as I asked without overcooking the egg... sounds simple, but you'd be shocked to know how rarely you can find that, even at restaurants that charge three to five times more.
Also ordered and enjoyed a good cappuccino (tasted fresh ground and from decent beans), and tried one of the Bloody Marys as well (basil lime). I wouldn't order the Mary again, but not because it wasn't well-made; it was, and also featured lovely fresh ingredients. I just prefer a classic Mary flavor profile. Next time I will order the mimosa... definitely going back. Be careful not to hang out too long at the downtown location - if you go over an hour, you'll have to pay to get out of the parking garage. Overall, one of the best breakfast destinations in downtown Phoenix.
