| - We visited XS in February to see Alesso, and this month for Galantis. In February, we used No Cover Nightlife to get on the guest list. We lined up around 10:25pm. We had to wait for the line to start moving, but we were in around 10:45pm. Not too bad and honestly we didn't have much of an issue here. Alesso came out at around 1am or so. The club got packed so once you left the mainroom, you had to wait for a bit to get back in, which wasn't an issue for us at the time.
The main reason for 1 star is our most recent visit to see Galantis. We were one of the first 15 people in line as we arrived a bit after 10pm. The line did not start moving until shortly after 10:30pm. Then, we had to go through the nightmare security where the security checked EVERY SINGLE SECTION of your bag and pockets. I understand the need for it, but it was just too excessive each person took a good 3-5 mintues to finish the security. Then we had to show our ID for the 2nd time to a guy, to verify age and then AGAIN to check us in for the guest list. Everyone was extremely rude and unfriendly and seemed like they could care less for the guestlist patrons and only cared for people with table reservations, which makes sense as I'm sure their bulk of revenue come from tables. Anyhow, basically it took us a whole hour to get inside and by then we were already fed up. The opening DJ was not that talented. Overall, we just had a bad experience here and made us wonder what is going on inside this venue with the excessive security measure. I have nothing against them, but just wanted to share so that people are aware and you can prepare. It is sad that some of the DJs I love only play here, but after our last experience we will never be returning to this venue.
