OK. Not terrible, but not great. I won't be back.
I had the sampler, as it was my first time and I wanted to try a little of everything. The meats are very juicy, but didn't have much flavor. BBQ is supposed to taste smokey (and sweet/spicy) but I didn't taste like BBQ. It tastes more like it was baked in an oven rather than over coals or a wood fire. In other words, the texture is excellent but the flavor is very lacking.
My sides were Mac n cheese and criss cut fries. Fries probably came from a big bag from Costco, not very good. Mac n cheese was fine.
The restaurant itself is not impressive. Weird layout as you order in front then walk past the kitchen door, two restrooms and into the back where they have tables (and another bathroom in the middle of the wall by the tables) Wobbly condiments table, dirty utensil and napkin dispensers; for a BBQ place I don't care too much about ambiance, but it should at least feel clean.
It is overpriced too. The sampler plate ($1.50 brisket substitute...why?) And a drink came out to $16 and change. I can get a full pound of brisket and a drink at Rudy's for the same price.
Its out of my way anyway but I won't be back.
