| - Sephora used to be one of my favourite stores when I was still a student. Whenever I'm shopping here, I always felt like a child at a candy store, gazing at all the make-up around me in childlike bewilderment. The place is a little glamorous, it's a bit sassy, and I always feel more beautiful after a trip to Sephora.
Maybe the years have changed my perception of Sephora, but I just didn't get that same sparkle since my last visit here. Now that I'm in my late twenties, I find like myself having outgrown the styles offered here. I also noticed for the first time that the other customers were much younger, mostly noisy teenagers who hog up all the counters and leave messes everywhere. It probably didn't help that I came here during the summer, no doubt, where the high school students had came into the store in many giggling little packs.
That's not to say Sephora doesn't have its merits: the service reps were as friendly as ever, the prices were still reasonable, and there's a great selection of make-up from many different brands. However, I think the store definitely caters to its younger customers, and as a result I don't think I'm as attached to Sephora as before. Maybe I'm just too old for the place, but the shopping experience just doesn't feel the same anymore.
