  • Do not move in unless you see the actual unit you are going to live in first and are happy with it. We moved in to a supposed brand new remodeled unit! They told me when I got here after driving 27 hours that the unit was great and won't find a thing to put on the inspection report. That statement couldn't have been further from accurate. To start, the screens were all hanging off. Instead of replacing the screens with a proper fitting screen their fix was put a screw in it to make it stay in place. Next, the floors are some crappy vinyl "wood look a like" floor that was poorly installed and bubbling up all over the apartment. The cabinets in the bathroom are falling apart with only new doors/hardware installed. The toilets smell like they were never cleaned and even though we cleaned them numerous times you can't get the horrible smell out of them. The toilet in the spare bathroom runs all the time. We've called them a few times to fix the problem but clearly they don't have anyone that knows what to do because the problem has been ongoing for almost 2 months. Now on to the bigger issues. Our hot water really only works in the showers. It takes roughly 5 mins to get hot water running in any sink even if the hot shower is running right next to it or if it's the first thing you turn on in the morning. The Kitchen....the worst setup and probably the worst part of the place. It's all a facade, again the cabinet doors appear to be new but the actual cabinet is 20+ year old garbage. The dishwasher door doesn't open all the way because the oven is in the way. The cabinet door and drawer next to the dishwasher don't have handles because the dishwasher door definitely couldn't open then. Why in the hell would you do this in a kitchen? The washer has no possibility of putting a lint tap on it so your clothes come out with lint stuck all over them. The dryer has to be run at least 3 times on the setting of "more dry" to get almost dry..in guessing this is because the venting doesn't appear to be to code (looking into having a third party come check the place out). The police have been here at least once a week (3 times at the same place) and yet the people still love here. One time the police were running around the building trying to surround the apartment. Very classy! If you're looking for an actual gated community where you feel secure, stay away, one or two of the gates are open all day every day. Some kind of gated community that is that you pay for!
