We've been taking our dog to this clinic since she first joined our family at 3 months old. Being new dog owners we didn't know what to expect and relied on a friend's reco to go here.
After a few visits and no longer being a rookie at this I realized that the place doesn't give you a consistent experience nor a consistent vet.
We were already thinking about leaving them when a few days ago we got the icing on the cake.
Our dog was vomitting and very sick, we called close to closing time, they told us it's serious, told us they'd check with the vet if he could see us, we started driving to them when they called and told us that the vet can't see us.
Your job as a vet is to service the animal, especially if it's urgent. It's rare moments that require you to stay late and potentially help save an animal's life and I would think that these are the moments you pride yourself on your work.
After being turned down we took our dog to the emergency and she's still there today and we've incurred nearly $4000 in vet bills so far.
Thanks Queen West Animal Hospital for turning us away, the fact that you didn't care to see our dog that day is enough reason for us to leave you.
