| - Four strikes and they're out. I was looking for a new stylist and bought a Groupon for a cut and full highlight. The first time I went, I loved my results! I called a month later to schedule a touch up partial highlight and trim. I received an appointment reminder email a few days beforehand which indicated only a highlight was scheduled. I called the salon to inquire, and they apologized for the mix up and said I should be all set. Next, I get a phone call reminder the day before my appointment. The receptionist indicated I was only in the system for a highlight. I explained that I had a haircut scheduled too, and she said that was not in the books and there was no way to squeeze me in. When I explained that this was the 2nd time the mixup was occurring on the same appointment and threatened they would lose a customer, I was told they could squeeze me in if I came 1/2 hour early. Finally, yesterday I had another appointment for a highlight only. I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled time and was sent to the waiting area. I proceeded to sit there for 25 minutes, without anyone so much as looking at me, let alone apologizing for running behind. I finally spoke with the receptionist, and she assured me it would only be 5 more minutes. She also said she would give me a discount. 10 minutes later (a full 40 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start), my stylist called me back without so much as an apology. She partially highlighted my hair, washed, and then blew it dry. When checking out, I was told my total came to $115!!! When I asked why so much because a partial highlight is only supposed to be $85, I was told it was an additional $30 for the blow dry. I did not ASK for the blow dry, but I assumed it was included with a highlight as it was a haircut. Apparently that is not the case, and they just let clients who don't get a haircut walk out with wet hair. On top of that, they did not give me the discount as they had promised! When I asked, I was given 10% off and told "oops, I forgot". 10% off (or $11) was not worth me waiting an 40 extra minutes AND all the hassle. Never again!
