| - Came here after a coworker recommended this place, saying it was her favorite Italian spot in Vegas. It's a nice little mom and pop type place.
When you walk in, you come directly to the pizza order counter, but we were seated to the left, which was a more private area, nice for dates, possibly. Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, etc. was playing in the background.
On to the food. You start out with a complimentary order of the garlic bread, which was amazing! Sooo garlicky, with fresh minced garlic. We had the fried calamari, which came out quicker than expected. Microwaved? Or maybe it was just because it was slow at the time. Either way, it wasn't as crispy as I'd like, but still enjoyable. It was served with this sauce that kinda tasted like a roasted chile salsa you'd find at a taco shop, and paired really well with the dish.
For the main dish, I had the pappardelle pasta with the wild boar and red wine ragu. Oh. My. Poop. I loved it! The meat was tender and the sauce full of flavor. I had some leftovers and was actually excited to get hungry again so I could eat the rest of it.
I'm definitely coming back to try some other dishes.
