  • I've driven/biked/walked past Mermaid 100 times before finally going in and I truly have been making poor life choices prior to that moment. It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning but there was a table for two open for us. The black coffee was fantastic! We got breakfast sandwiches and really enjoyed them. It took a while to receive our food, but we weren't in a rush, so it was fine. Before we left, we decided we needed more of their coffee, so we got an iced coffee to go ($4, ouch). It was stellar. While at the register the second time, I saw they had $2 pour your own mimosas. A shame I missed that. All in all, a bit pricey, but it's local so I can deal. Everything we had tasted great and the employees were friendly.
