  • Let me preface by saying that this review is long overdue... I wanted something unique for my engagement ring and knew that D&R made custom jewelry, so we set up an appointment with them. We ended up working with Dave for over a year (patient man!) for my engagement ring. One of the things that really exceeded my expectations is that Dave took time to really educate us and provide his experiences and insights to create the perfect ring. We talked about different cuts of diamonds, the color vs clarity, etc, as well as different metals. He made suggestions that were quite valuable. For example, baguettes typically cast a greyish shadow, simply because of how they're cut. So if you have baguettes surrounding a big round solitaire, that may skew how the overall product may look. Of course, we shopped around at a couple other local places to find out the approximate cost for a similar ring, none of the other stores spent any time with us or even asked us any probing questions (quality of diamonds, what type of metal, etc). The price was also much higher. We've had the ring since last August, and I cannot stop staring at my beautiful ring!! The ring is superbly made, exactly what I wanted, and the sparkle on it is crazy. We have wedding photos where my hand is in the shadow, and all you can see is sparkle on my finger. Amazing. I've already told my husband that I want more jewelry made from Dave. I won't go to anybody else for my jewelry needs. The price, quality, attention and care you receive are just unbeatable. Thank you Dave!!
