| - This review was difficult for me because I had so many mixed feelings about the spa and the experience I had. First of all, I made the appt online and received a call to fill out a questionnaire/bio , regarding my personal skin routine and skin type. It was very general, but was happy to do it because I'm sure it helped my esthetician decide the correct product for my facial.
The location itself was extremely difficult to find, and I was several minutes late because if that and that cut into my facial time. When I finally did find the place, it was much smaller then I had anticipated and I felt rushed from the moment I walked in. There is a waiting room and I was ushered off without a moment to gather my wits to a tiny facial room . As we walked , she asked me very impatiently if I wanted water or tea , which I politely declined, although tea would have been nice , I just felt bad accepting because of her tone, and the fact I was already late and didn't want to shave any more time off of my 80 min facial.
The girl who was assigned my treatment , was very sweet but obviously very new. She had only been there a few months and when I asked her how long she had been in the industry, she replied " she has done facials since she was 11". Ok. Her technique was rushed and I did not feel it was anywhere close to other facial treatments I have had , but the price was as much, if not more . Her mannerisms and the responses about the product line, as well as her views on the spa itself, felt very rehearsed and at times, disingenuous.
She was quick to knock other product lines down to promote theirs and I thought that was a bit tacky. She told me that she had picked out specific products based on my bio I had filled out, but it was so generic, I didn't think that was the case because she kept explaining the anti aging being it's, when my bio clearly had acne prone as my area of need and concern.
I then had to specifically request acne products, which of course was an upgrade with a fee. I will say the face massage was wonderful and same with the hand and feet. So good that I asked her if she would add extra minutes to my feet and I would happily pay , however she explained that even though I was her last client , she would do it next visit and I wouldn't be able to change anything this time.
My experience was subpar, for the 250$ I was charged. At least at a casino, for that price I would have an all day access to their spa amenities i.e. Whirl pools, snow rooms, sauna , steam room etc...
Anyways , I won't be returning, and although I didnt have an unpleasant experience, I can't say it was a good one either.
