| - Big, gigantic, green. Even looking out from my hotel room, everything looks green. Was the architect influenced by Frank Baum's fourteen Land of Oz books on the Emerald City or greenback? I've been using this hotel since mid-90's when they tried to make everything downstairs "family" friendly, until they figured out that they can not make money out of people who cut-coupons so junior can someday go to college. Then it became boxing mecca. I think I like it just the way it is. The second largest hotel in the world and largest hotel resort complex in the US.
The MGM includes five outdoor pools, rivers, and waterfalls that cover several acres, a huge convention center, the MGM Grand Garden Arena, CBS Television City, and the Grand Spa. Lots of shops and night clubs, more than a dozen restaurants, and probably one of the largest casino areas in the county.
I just hope that LVFD has long enough fire ladders to reach the nooks and crannies of this big building. Located on the Tropicana - Las Vegas Boulevard intersection, there are even pedestrian bridges to keep the crowds from getting mauled by LV traffic.
Now if you can't spot this hotel, then you've got to be color blind, filter out large objects that has its own gravitational pull or you never look up when you walk.
BTW, the room was fine, but never, ever lose your room key, or forget your room number when inebriated.
