After having been to the original Serendipity restaurant in New York I decided I needed to pay a visit to this spin-off and see if it was cool too.
Kind of unfair to compare them as they are two totally different beasts... But here is the comparison anyway.
Serendipity 3 tries to duplicate the ambiance and whimsical environment that you find at the (much smaller) New York location... It misses the mark. This restaurant is SO BIG that it seems cold and empty in comparison. It is very clean and looks nice, so I'll give it that.
The food is really the big deal, though, and at least half of the reason I wanted to go here. It was... Okay. Not impressive, not wow-ing or something that you feel inclined to take a food-porn photo of. I took a photo anyway, but no close-ups. It just wasn't that great. I had pizza and salad, which were pretty good. About what you'd expect from TGI Fridays, not what you'd expect for a $10 salad and $20 pizza.
Service was okay, I guess. Three stars cause everything was "meh".
