| - Spent $300 on dinner for 2, Really nice dining room, beautiful bar, warm, friendly waiter, well made cocktails and classic 'splurge-y' dinner menu that is overpriced but well executed. They under-cooked our steak, which seems to be epidemic in this town, ordering 'medium' means you're gonna get 'rare' anyway. We ended up eating our sides while waiting for the re-fire on the steak, These things happen though and I would never judge a restaurant by a single kitchen incident. Everything was delicious.
The Barrymore is quiet and feels hidden. I'd think this would be a great place to meet someone on the down-low. Or to take a date if you didn't want them looking around the room at other people (there aren't likely to be any) I did see some escort-looking types coming out of the hotel elevator, which makes the curious part of me want to return for happy hour, see if I was right..
In general, I really liked the place, it's one of those spots you'll feel 'in' that you know about.
