**Update 8/23/17 - This still has not been resolved. Banner called to set up a claim and said they would contact me after investigation. I have received NO emails or calls to handle this issue since. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, in our opinion regarding our issue.
**Update 3/15/17 - No contact from Banner Gateway since their response post to give them my contact number for resolve. Zero contact.***
**Update 2/27/27 -- They posted a comment about wanting my contact information on 2/17... It's been over a week and they never called or messaged me back. Go figure...***
My wife and I had our daughter here on 9/24/16. Everything went "okay" until after we left the hospital.
1st - Apparently the nurse failed to check and make sure my wife's blood pressure compression wrap was placed correctly. With my wife being in and out of sleep for some time that day while dilating, she was not aware the wrap had slipped down her arm and was consistently creating a major compression near her elbow/arm joint. Now she has nerve damage to her elbow. A lot of tingling and numbness to this day (5 months later.) We are in the process of getting a game plan on our next step for this issue. Not a real positive experience with their quality control and supervision of SLEEPING patients. BEWARE!
2nd - We received a separate bill for over $700 for a "doctor that came in the room after our daughter was born to take her blood pressure." $700 FOR BLOOD PRESSURE TEST -- ARE YOU SERIOUS? We were later told the hospital was understaffed, so they outsourced doctors that day. How is that our problem? What doctor came in?? I was there the entire time and never saw this Doctor.
We paid **IN FULL** the day of our daughters birth/release (25th hour past delivery.)
I called Banner this morning questioning this, and everyone (5 Banner Hospital employees) down the the Director (Wanda Fountain) has no idea. I left a voicemail for the Director to call me back ASAP. No one knows what this bill is....Of course they don't. The "Extra" bill apparently is going to collections and will be reported to my wife's credit report. BOGUS and a scam!
All in all, they damaged my wife's body and are billing us for a doctor we never saw. What a joke! I would highly recommend going elsewhere. The hospital had negligence on supervising my wife and ensuring she was well taken care of while sleeping, but charged us a pretty penny for the process ANDDDD now are up-charging us for their understaffed personel they out-sourced. This just isn't the Banner Gateway I know.
