I've been coming to the Marquee since I was a teenager. I'm pretty sure that I had my first concert here.
I like this theatre because there are no assigned seats, and prices are always low. You have a good bet at getting a good view because the floor is sloped so if you stand in the back you are a bit higher than everyone else. If you like being in the middle of the crowd, getting hot and sweaty, shoulder to shoulder then make your way to the front of the crowd. If that sounds like a terrible time they now have a balcony.
I got balcony seats for the first time last night and it was awesome. I will never go back to normal tickets at this venue again. The balcony had a clear view from throughout and not too many people so it wasn't crowded. If you get "balcony seats" they are essentially bar stools placed at the fencing of the balcony with a little tiny table to put your stuff. So conveniant! The balcony is 21+ and has it's own bar.
There is a bar downstairs as well for everyone else. The bar gets PACKED. Expect to wait a long time for a drink. Prices are pretty steep but expected from a venue. It was $15 for a cocktail and water.
Parking gets full fast but there is a garage across the street that you can park at. Both options will cost you $10 a car.
I was highly disappointed in the wait to get in this time. They claimed that doors opened at 6:30 but there was no movement in the line until 7pm. The show was scheduled to start at 8pm but they didn't even get everyone in until 9pm. The show did start late but knowing they had a sold out show and massive line at opening time they should have starting getting people in faster and/or more efficiently.
