| - Wow! I was totally amazed at the professionalism with everyone at this Dealership, Until I agreed and made the deal and drove away, three to four days later......? I was so happy to have a very easy & pleasant experience I felt like a VIP until, about four day later! My phone started blowing up, I missed a call because my New VW would not pick up the call, go figure.
Then my salesman Roland calls me, he is really the only reason I agreed to Lease and do business with Larry Miller VW. Super Guy! Oh yeah, I'm a former VW Employee!
Then he said, "we have a problem, VW won't lease to you", ...... Really? I said why not? "He said I really can't say"... Wow, Long story short I called the dealership back and ask to speak to Steve the finance manager.
So I called Steve and I'm told that, "I have to bring the car back today"! Wow...... Really...? OK, I'm like what's wrong? VW won't fund the deal. I'm like what, why not.....?
"Something to do with sub leasing"? I say this is my first time trying to lease, so there must be some mistake. "I'm sorry, but the car needs to come back today!" Wow, OK?
OK, well I'm not sure if this Dealership understands finance but I think after I tell them everything they asked for & I've provided it and I have over a 700 FICO, at one point over 760.... I mean to do business with whom ever I'm signing on the dotted line with! They did not act like they intended to do business with me the way we agreed!
Then they try to switch me to a purchase, run my credit without my approval for a purchase and give me a quote way over my initial agreement and think that would be just fine, no thanks!
So I drop the car off that day and the next day I get an alert from my credit monitoring service and low and behold I have inquires on my credit report that I did not Authorize! If I would have told them yes let me see what a purchase would look like, then yes these inquires would have been just fine.
Only problem is that I never agreed to have them run my credit again to do a purchase, I just asked them what would a purchase look like knowing what my credit is, Steve without even getting up or looking at anything like a computer or paperwork, says "$348 per month for 72 months @ 5.99%". Wow, really!
So I'm approx $280 per month at 36 months with $0 down to make the deal initially when I agreed to the lease, and now you want me to go to approximately $350 per month for 72 months for a potential purchase, NO THANK YOU!
I would have hoped Larry Miller VW would have went to bat for me to take the time to find out that whatever VW credit had told them, it was something that was correctable with a few phone calls and faxes. I came to understand that fraud had been committed but it was not me, but someone else that had done something to me that I did not know about! Wow, sad........
I really had high hope to make this my very first Valley Dealer to do business with but as a Disabled United States Air Force Veteran I don't think they respects our personal needs and commitment to community, family or duty.
I've never met Mr. Larry Miller, but if I did I would tell him to spend more time & money on training the very young manager's to focus on quality desk work, and financial practices prior to shacking my hand then tripping the car, "delivery of vehicle". I would also like to let him know this is not the way to build a stellar reputation as a leader in the industry and it all comes down to personnel and their ability to deal with various situations including this one.
It would save everyone loss time, energy, poor customer service, low CSI and a bunch of roll backs by trying to do more for a new customer like my self. I would have provided a 5 start rating if this had not occurred. Now my only rating is 1 star service, because I did not receive proper financing and support as a customer. Making a statement such as "It's Urgent, the car needs to come back today" is not an actual service to the customer. This is more like We don't need your business so bring us back our vehicle and have a nice life loser!
I came into the dealership with the pure intention of leasing a vehicle for my business and personal use and they where fully aware of this. My understanding of doing business is once you've agreed to do business with someone you make that person like a part of the family and try to work it out not shove it down there throat by trying to make a better deal for the dealership!
Wow! Never again! AVOID this Dealer if you Value your time and piece of mind! Oh yes, I had to go into the dealer 3 times to see a deal materialize and it took 3 days to unwind, six days of wasted time and effort. Not a professional operation whatsoever! All shinny and new on the outside but empty on the inside, Sounds like you need a shake up Mr. Miller.
Very Disappointed!
