| - I have been coming here on and off for several years due to location convenience. For awhile I came to see Sean until he left. I kept coming back because I idiotically kept thinking it would get better. After my last experience, I will NEVER be going back.
I walked in around 5pm and asked for a gel mani & pedi, knowing I had plenty of time since they close at 7pm. I brought my own gel polish with me to use. The lady who was helping me seemed irritated and quite rude. I was still excited to sit in the massage chair and relax after a long week of work. I asked her, since I brought my own gel color and gel top coat polish, how much a classic gel pedicure would be and she pointed to the sheet that said $29. Just as I had turned on the massage chair and gotten my book up on my phone to read, another very rude lady approached me to do my gel manicure...just as my pedicure started. When salons do this, I think it's super tacky and rude (unless you ask for both services at once). They are basically trying to rush you out. How are you supposed to relax and get pampered - a service you are PAYING for- if you have someone doing your nails (at a weird angle) while someone is doing your pedi? The nail tech that came over to start my manicure immediately turned off my massage chair and told me to put my phone away and soak my nails in a dish of water. Then she proceeded to PUT HER TOOLS AND THE WATER DISH ON MY LAP! My phone started to fall when she did this, so I sort of jumped to grab my phone when she grabbed my hand and put it back in the water dish.
I felt uncomfortable and obligated to get both services at the same time so I tried to relax but both the technicians attitudes kept me on edge. The pedicure was awful and so was the manicure. My pretty nails were cut to short stubs when I specifically said I only wanted them filed down slightly. The lady doing my fingernails barely cut my cuticles and I politely asked her if she would take care of the excess. She then nicked me several times and caused me to bleed- and did nothing about it. The whole time they were looking at their watches and yawning, and of course talking to each other in another language. Finally, when the lady was applying my gel nail polish, she was going SO FAST that it was bumpy and clumpy. It was too late to ask her to make the gel polish thin. Then I noticed when she was applying the top coat (she was using hers since the lady doing my toes was using the top coat I brought) her top coat was completely out and she was pretending to put a top coat on with the remnants of what was left in the bottle.
When I went to pay they told me it would be $72 and I thought there was some sort of mistake. I said, well a gel manicure is $28 and a pedicure is $29. They said because it was gel, they add an extra $15 to the pedicure. I said, well I brought my own gel polishes and thats not what I was told when I first asked. The lady (who I thought was the owner) said, "it don't matter- it's the same price."
As I left, I started to get more and more upset. I felt like they had been super rude, rushed me out, did a horrible job, and overcharged me. So I decided to call and ask to speak to the owner. A man named "Steven" told me that I couldn't speak to the owner. I asked when was the next time he would be in? Steven told me that I will not ever be able to talk to him because he never comes in the establishment. And then he proceeded with "What do you need?" I began to tell him about my experience- saying I was a long time and loyal customer of 6 years- but this isn't the first time my experience had been bad and today was the worst experience yet. I explained about the rude techs, doing two services at once, the horrible service, being overcharged, etc. Thats when it turned ugly. Steven very nastily told me that it sounds like I was having a bad day and taking it out on the establishment. He said if I hadn't liked my service, I should have come to him and told him (I don't have any idea who the hell he is) after I had paid (what??). He said if I had wanted services to be done one at a time, that it was up to me to tell them and the $15 extra charge for the gel pedicure is for the service of PAINTING ON the gel polish because it takes 15-20 min LONGER to pain than regular polish- I call BS on that. I was so appalled by the way he was speaking to me and basically telling me it was my fault that I finally said, "Ok, well I paid for a service that I am unhappy with so when can I come in to have it re-done?" Steven then told me the only time I could come in was "right now" and he would take a look at my nails and HE would determine if they would redo the service at no charge. I again asked to speak to the owner or person he reported to and he told me "The owner is never going to call you back. They don't care what you have to say."
THIS PLACE IS HORRENDOUS, GUYS! DO NOT GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT YOUR MONEY!!!
