  • For my 500th review, let me present my favorite grocery store. When I get home sick, I often get home sick for shopping at this particular wonderful grocery store. Penn Mac as everyone on Penn Avenue affectionately calls it, is a place to bring joy to the eyes and the palate. Best wholesale prices on cheese you will find anywhere in the city. You know all that expensive cheese at Whole Foods? Well its at Penn Mac for far less coin. I always seek out some "Erin Gold", a cheddar from Ireland. I always ask the cheese guy waiting on me what his favorite is or top three, and grab a couple of his picks too. I am never disappointed. This store is also great for olive oil, pasta, and other Italian imports. Also, if you are a tiny kid, there's a good chance one of the deli guys will give you a slice of something to munch on while mom and dad are placing an order. Be sure to visit the florist guy just outside the exit, he also carries quality product.
