| - Narcisi Winery exceeded all of my expectations and then some! I truly cannot think of one thing to complain about!
My friends and I are wine connoisseurs, which means we are kind of wine snobs too. Upon entry to the tasting room, you get two complimentary samples, but can purchase 4 more tastings for $5, so we did. We got some heavy pours! Each sample was around 4-5 sips each which is a really nice tasting. Six samples for 5 bucks is a totally worth it! I will say though, I wish the wine pourer was more knowledgeable about the wine and would have taken the same to explain each wine to us. The Cabernet and the Rose were both fantastic. Actually, all the wines we tasted were very good, but those two were my favorites. Also, the raspberry wine slushie was to die for! Such a perfect treat for a hot summer day!
The food at Narcisi Winery is AMAZING! We got the zucchini frita and the brushetta as an appetizer. The zucchini was great, but the heirloom tomato & goat cheese brushetta was absolutely delicious. The bread and dipping oil was the bomb too! We got the margherita pizza as our entree and everything about it was perfect. Actually, it was more than perfect once the server put fresh Asiago cheese on top! The pizzas are a perfect size for two people to share. All of the staff including the hostess, wine pourer, server, and bartenders were all friendly and provided us with great service. My only regret is that I forgot to buy a bottle of wine to take home!!! Narcisi is about a half hour north of the city, but totally worth the drive. I cannot wait to go back!
