| - Not dependable at all!! Up until a few weeks ago I'd been using Rolling Rock since 10/2013. We started with general landscape maintenance once a month with the intention of moving to twice a month once Summer came. Even though we were scheduled for monthly service they would never show up. 30 days would come and go, then 40 days, then 45 days.. and nobody would show up, no phone call, no reason. I routinely had to text Don the owner to find out when he planned on having his guys show up. When the guys did actually show up the guy with the lawn mower would constantly run over my sprinkler heads and destroy them. I didn't mind at first, it happens.. I'd just go around replacing them. But after the 4th time and twice on the same sprinkler? It was an obvious disregard for my property and how fast they could get the job done kind of mentality. The guys with the blowers would blow my welcome mat in to the bushes along with my shoes and not replace them. I'd find my shoes under the bushes and my welcome mat rolled up like a burrito. I text Don over the Summer and told him I thought I had an irrigation issue and that my bushes out front were dying.. He text me back saying he'd have his guys install new drip heads - they never did. I personally went around to all of my plants and installed the new drippers myself. I text Don on July 1st and asked him to personally come out to my property so I could address all of these issues with him in person. I also had some ideas for upgrading my landscaping. Don text me back and said he would send out his foreman to meet with me. So Wyatt his foreman shows up late to my property and I stand out front with him and start explaining to Wyatt the areas the team isn't working on like my sage bushes out front. I then start discussing what I want done to the property for the upgrade. Wyatt, with clipboard and pen in hand takes no notes. After 20 mins of talking to him and telling him how I want to design the front I say to him "Are you gonna remember all that? You're not taking any notes" and he says "I'll write it all up later" - We get to the backyard and I start explaining what I want done in the back. After 15 more minutes and no notes being taken by Wyatt, he finally sits down and writes some things on a sheet of paper - two to three sentences and then pitches me a verbal quote off the cuff of $3,000 to $5,000 (A 67% difference in price from the base). I said OK, can you email me a quote with the details of the work I want done and he says sure no problem. Weeks pass.. no quote from Wyatt, no phone call, no email from him. So I email Don on 7/21 and say look.. Your guy came here, took barely any notes, pitched me a verbal quote off the cuff and left promising me he'd email me a quote for the work I wanted done. Don ignores my email entirely.. Come 8/14 Don sends me an email telling me Rolling Rock is getting out of the yard maintenance business and focusing on design and installation (Despite the fact that I still have no quote from Wyatt or response from Don on the design and install I wanted back in July) - in his email he then proceeds to introduce me to EVO Landscapes and says they'll be taking over maintenance of my property. Here we are and it's 9/9 - No response still from Don, nobody from EVO Landscape has showed up and my yard looks like crap. I'm now stuck shopping around for a competent landscaper to take over the complete redesign and maintenance of my property.
I would not under any circumstance recommend Rolling Rock Landscape to anyone looking for reliable service.
And to Don if you're reading this: I gave you and your guys the benefit of the doubt and you left me completely hanging. So this review won't be removed or changed. You had every chance to email, call, or text me but you chose not to.
