Came back a second time. I had to adjust the ratings down one star. Reading the menu I would expect wonderful mixture of flavors but this seems to be hit and miss with some foods good and some very bland and just ok.
Special ravioli gotten the first visit, both of us height it was wonderful flavors. The desert was good but extremely rich (1-2 bites is plenty).
This time we tried:
Eggplant Cappicola - the cheese was very fresh (soft), the eggplant changes the dish flavor a lot. Hubby really liked this, for me it was ok but while I like eggplant it gave this dish a bit of a bitter flavor (something about how the cooked it). I like bitter it just felt to me like the flavors didn't blend well.
Soup of the day (beef and vegetables) - this was very nice. Wonderful broth that was not heavy or over flavored.
Blue cheese Ceaser salad - very small any of blue cheese, salad dressing mostly little olive oil
Added to the side some gyro meat. This was not the typical gyro meat and neither of us cares for it, it was stronger spiced and softer than typical gyro meat - more like ground beef cooked in flavored broth.
Romeo's Choice Skins - sausage had a nice flavor (mild not spicy) and the sausage onions and peppers were nice together. Put on top of potato skins with a fair amount of mozzarella cheese on top and sour cream dip to dip not into (so overall a heavy dish). I liked this dish best but hubby who loves sausage thought it was just ok.
Transylvania Chicken - this was a disappointment. Reading the description we expected a burst of flavors. But the chicken was bland, the garlic cloves were very mild, and it tasted like each ingredient was cooked separate then assembled - not like it was cooked together as one dish. No flavor stacking or profile - just separate items. Not a dish I would get again. It was a good portion - 3 chicken breasts.
Prices were decent - about $65 out the door for 2 appetizers, an entree, a salad with meat, and two non alcoholic drinks.
Sorry to say we won't be coming back again as there are other places we enjoy more.
