This gym is garbage! I've been here for 5 or 6 months. After 5pm place is overcrowded so good luck finding a free machine. But that's not the worst part! Front desk is something special. They have made it mandatory now to bring in towels even though 70-80% of the ppl there never clean after themselves when they done with a machine. It defeats the purpose of making towels mandatory when ppl never use them! They started charging for towels now $1 so they trying to add to their profits because they have maxed out their memberships to a point where fire department might close the place down. I had the towel in the car just the tone of the girl at the front desk made me take this issue further. So I asked to cancel my membership immediately. She said you can't do it here, you have to call a phone number (I sure signed up my membership right there at one of the desks but anyways). I started dialing the number she gave me and she says, "no you can't do it now (7:30pm), you have to call tomorrow". Ummmm! I asked to speak to a manager and she said to come back tomorrow there's no manager present and repeated it twice! I asked for a phone number or an email of a manager! She went back to the desks there and here comes Sarah, a manager! I explained the whole situation to Sarah and she says she'll do me a favor tonight and give me a free towel! I have a towel in the car and two other gym memberships and I don't care about the $1, that's not the point. So I left. I wanted her to cancel my membership right there so I don't have to see their lying faces ever again! Now God knows another hour or two to get ahold of someone on the phone to cancel my membership.
Just read other peoples complaints and they all seem to fall into the same categories as mine:
1. Rude front desk staff
2. Overcrowded gym
3. Issues with the cleanliness of the facility.
It's a pattern. Their interview screenings seems to go like can you do planks? Push-ups? Ok hired..
You want to have your gym clean? Hire extra cleaning crew, have paper towels and cleaning/disinfecting spray near every workout area of the gym so that is convenient for people that forget towels to still help out keeping the gym clean, put signs to remind people the importance of clean area and help change their behavior. You can't force things! If you making me pay for towels to add to your profits next time I'll bring one and keep it under my pants and start cleaning the machine and exaggerate the whole process so other people see it and get so disgusted that they cancel their membership, talk to their friends about the experience, and post kind reviews. We'll see how that affects your profits. Two can play this game.
