  • Please be very careful when going through this dental office. They don't follow procedures set up by the dental insurance company. They overcharge on their fees and they want their money up front, before the insurance company even looks at the claim. This is totally inappropriate for a dental office. I will update once my insurance reviews this claim, but there is something very wrong here. We already paid them over $1,000+ for a tooth extraction and bridge work. So far, we only got the tooth extraction done. But they wanted an additional $1,000+ a week later before they would do any further work. I thought that was rather strange and exorbitant so I called my insurance company and was told that they are not suppose to require all this money upfront since they are a contracted dentist. I actually had to have my insurance company talk to these people as they didn't believe me!! I haven't got the bridge work done yet, will update when my case is finished. I came here from the Yelp Reviews being 5 stars for this dentist. But I should have known better as there were only 3 prior reviews. BEWARE...DO YOUR HOMEWORK. I will update to let you know if everything turned out satisfactory for me. 12/17/14 Update: Dental office asked me to update this review. So, in all fairness, I am doing that. After the insurance got involved, things got better and they settled with the insurance company so they did not ask me for any more money. However, the cap on the tooth kept coming off and I had to make 3 trips back to the dental office (first two times with the dental assistant and finally the 3rd time with Dr. Paik himself). It finally stayed on after Dr. Paik did it. But it was really annoying to have your cap come off in the middle of a meal. Also, the office did accommodate me so that I had no problems getting an appointment right away to get the cap back on. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT DR. PAIK IS A GOOD DENTIST. HE IS ALSO VERY NICE AND PERSONABLE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WAS WHAT I HAD EXPERIENCED WITH THE PAYMENT/INSURANCE ISSUE.
