| - Not sure why there are more bad reviews than good ones on here...(I have nothing but good things to say myself). I mean I understand a few bad reviews because we all know how unhappy some people can be with ANY situation..but I am pretty surprised because the reason I came to see Dr.Gatlin was because he had one of the best reviews for obgyn on another website that shows Dr reviews! I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but will update with it soon! Anyway, I had my first prenatal appt today and I couldn't believe how pleased I was with the Dr and the ENTIRE STAFF!! that never happens to me! Lol. The woman working to sign you in was extremely nice as well as discreet when speaking of what she needed from you and not revealing what insurance you have aloud even..which I was surprised because I never expect the administrative workers to be so thorough but she was thorough and pleasant. Then the woman who weighed me and took my vitals and intake was also extremely pleasant to deal with, and showed genuine interest in what I had to say as well as made me feel better about certain things by sharing some of her personal experiences being pregnant with me. And then the nurse Karen came in and was also extremely nice and I can't believe I read a few reviews about this lady being rude because to be honest, she was one of the nicest nurses I've met thus far..the complete opposite of "RUDE" so I'm really surprised at other reviews..can't even picture this woman being rude!! LOL she even printed out several sheets of info for me regarding migraines and so on since I told her I have really bad migraines everyday. Also, I felt her and the other woman who had done my pt. intake were also very thourough and took their time asking questions and getting answers and never felt rushed or cut off while speaking..which was nice. And then Dr.Gatlin was all around great also! He did the exam, & yes, as some reviews stated he does make small talk while doing the exam but I find that awesome Idk why anyone would have a problem with pleasant conversation while having an exam done unless they genuinely hate life and hate talking to people. So weird! Anyway he was respectful, kind/polite, informative and answered questions and seemed like he enjoys his profession which made me leaving the office feeling pretty confident about sticking with him through my entire pregnancy. Also, they gave me some pregnancy magazines and a bag with lots of different prenatal samples which I also appreciated because I love to read and would love to try all these prenatal samples to see which I like best so I can stick with those so that was a plus. Also, he told me to come see him in 2 weeks, and then 1 a month every month after that, and then it'll change to biweekly and then weekly visits which I thought was great because after reading some reviews and trying to make Dr appts prior to him, some drs will hardly see you, let alone 1 a month! Overall, the visit was pleasant. I will update with more reviews soon :)
