I think this has to be the best farmer's market in all of Charlotte. No wonder it is not open daily or yearly. I initially went here after going to the larger Charlotte Regional Farmer's Market. Which I love and I love the size but sometimes it can be a little overwhelming filtering through all the different vendors with similar products.
King's Drive is different. Its smaller and more detailed. They have less vendors and the selection is smaller and easier to chose from.
The heirloom tomatoes are delightful, full of color and flavor and their is always a sample to test their freshness on hand.
King's Drive also appears to be Flower haven. They have beautiful assortments of affordable flower arrangements. You could decorate your house for visitors with the freshest and most beautiful of the seasons flowers for less that $20 bucks.
Bakery- I enjoy these loafs of cakes made by one of the bakery vendors near the flower booth. (The name escapes me)They are delicious and sooo fresh. Blueberry is my absolute favorite, but they have a chocolate that is sinful and a lemon that is delightful. I will gladly continue to be swayed and have to buy at least three loafs each visit. They sell for 5 bucks so its an easy impulse buy that you are sure to thank yourself for.
