The atmosphere in this restaurant was amazing. It was my first hibachi experience, though our hostess didn't seem to know what hibachi meant (she called it teppanyaki, which is the same thing). Our chef was okay. It was more exciting to watch the chefs at the other tables.
The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered poitrine de poulet teriyaki which was good. I was pleased that our meal started with salad (too much dressing but good tasting), then simple broth soup with onion, then our chef came to prepare our meal (a couple next to us came in later and the chef waited for all of us to be ready. Understandable but I was hungry!). Vegetables were made first and meats last. Same knife for everything, though they ask in the beginning if you have food allergies.
They seemed to go heavy on the dressings and sauces, but otherwise tasted good. Fun experience. The waiters were all very friendly. I would rate higher if we had a more exciting chef, they were less heavy on the sauces, and if I knew there would be tons of mushrooms beforehand (I hate mushrooms!! yuck!).
I put two price signs, but if you order more than just a meal (appetizer or drink) you will definitely be paying more than $30.
