I had to drive there from oakville Since there is no Apple store in Oakville. My iPhone 4S was having problems with the wifi connection as well as being incredibly slow. My boyfriend was also having trouble with his 4S as well his lock button had stopped working.
They turned us away as they were super busy so we drove back and made appointments for the next week as that was the earliest they were available.
We get there and sign in and sit at different ends of the store as per there directives. Looking at all the people around was depressing everyone looked sad or angry. They finally ask me to come up to the genius counter. and tell me that there is nothing they can do for my phone but I can replace it for 200. Mind you I bought it straight from apple only two years earlier. and I decided that I don't ned such terrible policies in my life and maybe it's the time to give up on apple. (I have many of their products)
My boyfriend did receive a new phone the "refurbished" ones they hand over to you so they don't have to fi anything in store. We got home only to find out that his phone was now experiencing the same issues as my phone had been. We went back the next day to get another replacement and they told us that they couldn't do anything with out an appointment. For a phone they just gave out...
Made yet another appointment in a week yet again and they replaced it. The genius bar service was great they have shitty rules that they have to follow but the floor staff is unreasonable and unbudging. They won't listen and just tell you to come back. I have gone from one of the biggest supporters to one of the biggest advocates against it. it's bad when you see so many people leave in frustration because they simply aren't able, god willing, or just belligerently refuse to help.
