  • This PJ's Pets location is two-floored with almost anything you'd need and want for your pet. I own fish, so speaking from an aquatic perspective, the selection of accessories and fish was big enough. I liked the layout, space and choice. Prices are pretty generic but they do have monthly specials on 4-5 different varieties which usually save you a couple bucks. The service is a bit spotty however, admittedly understaffed when asked, each employee seems to do the job of almost 2. So getting help or information is cumbersome and slow, although it's useful and clear when it does come. They are nice and knowledgeable, so not on the fault of them, but more on management. One complaint I have is that one of the fish I purchased was missing a friggin' eye. Pretty big deal I think, but not worth a 30 min drive to complain and trade for the price. Once again, could come back to the store being understaffed. I also spotted two dead fish in separate tanks while browsing, not good. Pros and Cons present, I do still prefer the Managerie Pet Store on parliament street for my fish needs. For the reasons that all the fish I've gotten from there have been healthy. Selection is slightly bigger even though the store is half the size. The help and knowledge is also better because they have the time to talk things through with each customer. That alone is worth the 2-3 bucks you may save, buying one-eyed fish at Pj's.
